Birthdays and anniversaries--that's what's been going on in our family this week.  On Saturday, it was Emma; on Sunday, it was Cameron; today, it's Rett, who is 9 years old and Jan and Troy, celebrating their 8th anniversary.  We hope all of our family members had perfect days as they celebrated special times in their lives.  We love them all!

The only news I have with regard to my cousin's son's surgery is that the surgery went well.  He was in recovery when I last heard about the surgery, so I'm sure they'll have more news soon.  As soon as I know more, I will certainly let everyone know.  Thanks again for all the prayers!

Most of our pecan trees were picked this weekend, but the guy forgot one of our best trees, so he'll be coming back later.  We told him to wait a while so that all the pecans could fall, and we might even be able to get more from the trees he already picked, which would be fantastic.

I spoke with Mom briefly this morning to get the little bit of news I had about the surgery and discussed the Trick/Treat Party at the Manor.  I completely forgot about getting Dad's candy, so Mom will ask my nephew to bring some to Dad.  The residents there really enjoy seeing all the little ones come to the Manor in their costumes.  The children are mostly those of workers at the Manor, but there may be a few others, like perhaps grandchildren or great-grandchildren of the residents.  I know Dad seemed to enjoy his time with them, even though I'm not sure he quite knew what was going on.  The little ones always bring smiles to the faces of the folks--and that's the important thing.

Not much happened to us today, so this was just to let you know about the surgery.  Please continue the prayers.  Have a great evening and a terrific week.
