As I mentioned yesterday, Mike and his family arrived here shortly after my return from Lockport yesterday. They immediately went off to the back so they could determine exactly where they would set up their tent. There are a couple of places back there that we do not recommend setting up anything because branches have been falling from the trees--and these are old trees with large branches. So, they decided on their spot and set up their tent. Because we attended Mass and also because I was rather tired, I only made one trip back there, and the tent had not been set up. Apparently, though, the boys slept in the tent and Mike and Carla slept in the truck, which, of course, didn't bother the boys at all. I think their big "fun time" was walking through the woods and shooting off their guns. Mike did some cooking over the grill last night and prepared a "tenter's breakfast" this morning. We let them take the 4-wheeler with them just in case they needed to make a quick trip here. Mike came over this morning to pick up a shovel so he could dig some special lilies that they like to plant near their home. Although I expected them to be here all day, I was surprised when they left right around noon. The kids ate sandwiches, they packed up their stuff, and were off early this afternoon. In fact, I was only able to get one picture this time, and it was of Ryan. In addition to Mike's SO, Ashton and Ryan also had Drake, Carla's son, with them. Everyone seemed to have a good time, and that's what's important to me. Randi called last night and said that she had a great time at her cousin's rehearsal supper. Her two aunts had her dressed like a queen, and Randi was really proud of the way she looked. Wish I could have seen her, too, 'cuz I know she was beautiful! Bec called last night as well and will be returning from her trip to NO this afternoon. In fact, her Dad spoke with her briefly this afternoon, and she was almost at home. Glad she's back home safe and sound; hope she had a great time. That's it for tonight! Have a wonderful week! "Forgiveness is all-powerful. Forgiveness heals all ills." --Catherine Ponder |
