My Picture

1. What`s your most challenging life`s experience?

If I had been asked this last year I would have said, " Living long enough to become an adult."   My childhood was to say the least a challenged.  But, losing my husband to cancer is by far the worst thing that has ever happened in my so called life.   He and the other Elders had been taking most of their week-ends to work at the church.   His arm began hurting and Dr. Hank said he had torn a muscle.   He was in perfect health, but two weeks later I gave him his last goodbye.

2. If you could re-do something in your life, what would it be?

Easy question.  We would seek medical help elsewhere.  Although it might not have helped we would have known that we did all that we could.

3. Have you done any traveling?  If so, where?

Both being teachers (Perry was a coach.) we took two months each year to travel.   We loved our country and saw it all.  We visited all the National Parks ,each Capital and all the little side roads in the US.   We were both 'people people' and made so many friends.   We toured most of Canada and quite a bit of Mexico.  We made no plans or reservations.  If it took a week to get to a certain place so be it!   Enjoyed every moment!!!

4.What have you done that you should BE ASHAMED of and what was it?

When I was six years old I was living in NY State with a witch and her thirty-two year old son.   I got the mumps.   I was so sick and Mrs. B slapped me across the mouth .   That night I drank out of every glass in the kitchen and carefully put them back into the cabinet.   The son caught MY mumps and nearly died.   Witchy beat me with a belt.  It was worth every whelp!.  Not a tear was shed by me.    Revenge was so sweet to that little girl.  At last I had done something that I was completely pleased about.   Oh!  The son survived and I was quickly sent elsewhere.

5. What 's odd about you that most people don`t know?

A hard question because if you know me at all you know me well.   I laugh at the silliest times.  We had driven our new car into the garage and Perry was checking out each new gadget.   With both doors opened he backed out of the garage and smashed them back into the chassie.   I took one look and started laughing.  He took one look at me and there we were sitting on the garage floor laughing until our sided ached.   Too many tears had been shed and we had decided long ago that laugher was on our side.

No one tells me a joke because I get tickled before the punch line.
