I’m 68 retired 4 years . I’ve spent a lot of energy creating a lifestyle of activities and people that interest me. Since retiring I’ve started new things badminton and bridge which I play weekly. Also I’m a part-time University student studying global politics/economics. I read & study a lot around these issues.. I’m absolutely thrilled to be learning & researching stuff even though some of it is distressing. I’ve been diabetic for many years and on insulin for the last ten years. I’ve got a system of diet and insulin that keeps my blood sugars low. I’ve spent a lot of energy creating a healthy lifestyle. However despite a good deal of success I find retirement a challenge.I still find that I cannot have stimulating activities all the time and sometimes I’m prone to retirement /old age angst (if there is such an expression!). I'm very interested in the psychological aspects of retirement and exchanging notes with others on their experiences..
