Sunday, April 8, 2007 Tara, Trayce and I drove to Alvin this weekend with Merissa and Kayson to visit Troy for his birthday. It was a surprise for him. I took Easter baskets for Garrett, Merissa, Kayson and Trayce. Kayson was too much into his but at almost four months, that was to be expected. Troy and Kelly already had a number of their friends there for a cookout, which Troy knew about; the surprise was our showing up. One of Troy's friends is a drummer and was playing at a club near their house, so he and Kelly, Tara and Trayce went over there for awhile to hear him play. I stayed home with Merissa, Garrett and Kayson. Merissa could have gone but at 15 isn't into night clubs yet - thank Goodness! It was unusually cold and rainy this weekend so we stayed inside. It was the first time in years Kelly was home on the weekend. She's always worked weekends but has her new job now and works Monday through Friday. Garrett is growing up so much and seemed to enjoy the baseball shirt I gave him. I got Troy and him matching "Big Guy" and "Little Guy" shirts. Trayce got Troy a shadow box filled with western-themed items and a western picture frame, both for his new office. He took us by there before we left. Tara got him a box full of little gadgets he can use to work on cars, do home repairs, etc. Troy spent a lot of time playing and bonding with Kayson. We got home around 5:30 and Trayce had to rush to go to her grandmother's. She was supposed to be there at 1:30 for dinner. Meghan and Josh came over with the girls and Zoe got her Easter basket. She was happy with it. Sariah got a little tiny one that I put a few things in. A 3-1/2-month-old isn't too aware of things like that.
