Here in Ky we are supposed to get snow day after tomorrow, which is the day after christmas.
I hope we get a good snow, there is something cozy about being inside while there is a big
snow outside. I just wish I had a fireplace , maybe not even a real fireplace with logs and fire and embers but just a "fake" fireplace with the look and feel of a real one.
Back in the eastern coalmining mountains of Ky my grandparents had several fireplaces in their house. It seemed so inviting to walk into each room that had a fireplace. I remember taking the ashes outside and getting rid of them when I was a little girl too. That was a job for us youngsters.
Well so much for remembering the " good ole days".
