The passing of a loved one!

Tonight's entry is a sad one and yet also a joyful one--I have been asking for prayers for Beau's Uncle who has been suffering from cancer for quite a while. At Easter it was expected that he wouldn't last the night and here we are more than a month later and he has been hanging in there all that time. Charles has truly earned his eternal reward but those who love him remain and suffer that loss. He is at peace in his Heavenly home free of all the pain that has ravaged his body for this past year enjoying the vision of his Father and Mother there. His family will miss him I know but they are happy that he is no longer suffering that he is truly at peace.

As I also mentioned Joey and Beau left yesterday for their trip to Amsterdam Brussels and places around there. Beau's Mom spoke with him just a little while before Charles died but I think he was expecting this to happen soon. I think Charles waited until the guys were gone to leave his family knowing how difficult it would have been for Beau to leave under those circumstances. And I'm sure his uncle would want them to have a good time there; I feel better knowing that Uncle Charles will be watching over them and keeping them safe and I know that Charles is in a better place.

I ask your prayers for Charles and for those who love him. May they share their memories of Charles memories that will keep him in their hearts forever memories that will keep Charles with them always. A long time ago I read a quote that said: "God gave us memories so we could have roses in December." That is how we keep our loved ones with us--with the memories created over their lifetimes--and from what little I know about Charles there are many memories that will be shared.

He will be there for his family in a way he never could before; he will help them get through this terrible time of loss; he will greet them when they finish their tasks here on earth. May he rest in the peace and love of his Father!

From the funeral service: "May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen!"
