I went searching for a travelmate on Seniormatch.com and found a woman who was living not very far from me.  We planned to meet at a diner and she didn't show up.  I was disappointed.  However she emailed me an apoligy and because I am usually an easygoing person I accepted.  We did finally get together and decided we would take a tour to Costa Rica.   I thought it went very well.  After we got home I had the distinct feeling that I would never see her again.  Wrong.  We became (I thought) close friends.  WRONG AGAIN.   Being friends with her for over a year I was surprised how she turned on me.  Was at her home with her two sisters and another friend of hers who I had a dispute with.  I have a black son-in-law who I consider a saint and she had showed me that she was prejudice and  I lost my temper and told her off.  Well my so called friend decided to take her side and told me she didn't want to be friends anymore.  I was shocked to say the lease.  She didn't even give me the benefit of a doubt.   I was wrong and her friend was right and not a racist.  I am so angry and hurt that I can't think straight.  I really feel she was very unfair and childish.  Didn't even give me a chance to talk it over.  I decided that she really was never my friend.
