Since I'll be in Lockport for a couple of days, at least, I figured I'd better send out a few birthday wishes. Today is the birthday of my nephew, Peter, second son of my sister, Silvia. I hope his day was perfect and that it begins a year of all things good. On the 25th, we have a double celebration--our daughter-in-law, Ann, wife of Steve, celebrates her birthday. Ann is truly a blessed addition to our family, and we thank God for her and her ability to make Steve and their children happy. Hope your day is perfect, Ann. On this same day, my sister-in-law, Martha Anne, celebrates her birthday as well. She is Sid's eldest sister, and we also wish her the very best on her special day. Tomorrow, Randi and I head off to Lockport so I can bring Mom to her doctor's appointment on Monday. Although I am hoping that I am wrong about this, I fully expect that the doctor will want to schedule another procedure to clear blockages in her right leg. If that does happen, that means that most of Monday will be spent with pre-admitting her and taking those preliminary tests that always come before the main attraction--the angioplasty. More on this later--- Not much has been going on these past few days, so that's it for tonight. Hope you have a great evening and a terrific Sunday. HEARTFELT BLESSING: "When a resolute young fellow steps up to the great bully, the world, and takes him boldly by the beard, he is often surprised to find it comes off in his hand, and that it was only tied on to scare away the timid adventurers." --Ralph Waldo Emerson NOTE: Fear is something we create in our minds--it has no real power over us unless we let it. Call its bluff--walk right up to it and grab it--the surprise will put you in control. Always be willing to face your fears--YOU can put yourself in control! |
