Anyone that knows me will tell you I like my coffee. With caffeine-educed assistance, I do most of my serious thinking. I’m not sure if I get better results with Hazelnut or with Columbian. I do know I get romantic inclinations with Hawaiian Kona. Perhaps its jut the power of suggestion. I grew up in a family that had the old fashioned percolator that stood like an ancient God in the kitchen. The first one awake started the coffee pot and one by one every member staggered in to claim their morning blessing of caffeine. We even acclimated to this ritual by being genetically altered. We all had an index finger that fit perfectly into the handle of a coffee mug. The middle finger shifted position to balance the weight and the thumb adapted to accommodate the weight of the cup. We always had a coffee cup hanging off our hand. For the most part speech and hearing was never active until about the second cup of this wonderful elixir was consumed. After about the third cup, lively family meetings accrued outside the bathroom door. We were very vocal in encouraging each other.
Sharing a cup of coffee with a friend is really very intimate. We are taking time to stop the world and just be with that person. We share thoughts, dreams and at least lighten the load. We might even solve a few problems. Life begins with a cup of coffee. In fact have you every thought of coffee as a sex stimulant? Well, look how many couples ended up in the bedroom after going out for a cup of coffee. We have all heard of the health benefits and hazards of coffee. I’ll take my chances. I think the benefits out weight the disadvantages at least for me anyway. One thing for sure, it gets me going in more ways then one. So while you are already here why not a while stay and can I pour you a cup of coffee?
