Back to normal--a routine day in the offing for Randi and me; however, Sid has been working since 7am this morning.  As of this moment (and I say that because he wants to do more after he finishes with the tomato plants), Sid has six of the eight posts in the ground and cemented.  What a job that has been!  When I was younger and had better "joints" all over my body, I would have been out there digging those holes with him, but...

Last night brought me a restful sleep.  I slept very well in Texas, mainly, I think, because I kept the a/c going full blast in our room.  I LOVE sleeping when I have to cover up with blankets from head to toe.  Everyone who entered our room said that it was freezing in there, including Randi; however, she got used to it and pretty much stayed in her bed, covered up, while we were in the room.  Perhaps, in some previous life, I was a bear and hibernated when the cold winters came.  I LOVE it!!!

Anyway, both of us slept well last night, and I'm sure that exhaustion probably took over.  I really love to drive, but my body has begun to complain when I drive a lot.  Thankfully, the roads to League City were excellent most of the way, and except for a brief period of heavy traffic where there was road construction going on, traffic flowed exceedingly well.

Randi and I went into town today to bring prescriptions to be refilled.  She also looked for some kind of necklace that she wanted, but she didn't find one.  We'll pick up the meds tomorrow.

While in town, we also went to W/D to pick up some chicken breast fillets for supper, which I planned to cook along with some bake potatoes and peas--everything turned out just fine and we really enjoy eating some fresh, home-cooked foods after a weekend away.

We may go into BR tomorrow, possibly to have breakfast at Cracker Barrel per Sid's suggestion.  It isn't a definite, but Randi's mouth has been watering ever since her Grampa made that suggestion, so it's looking pretty good for Cracker Barrel.

As I said, we're back to normal, so there really isn't more to chat about.  Oh, I did talk with Mom today, and she's trying to get out of attending the wedding we have coming up--not because she isn't excited, but she has become somewhat of a recluse, never wanting to leave the house for anything but her doctor's appointments.  (She even tried to convince Sandie that she had a good excuse NOT to attend--didn't work!)  Even those, these often tries to cancel for one reason or another.  Both Sandie and I are working on her, though, and I think I'll mention to Jess about stopping there to personally try to convince her Granny that she has to attend the ceremony.  That just might work!!!

Have a great evening and a wonderful tomorrow.

HEARTFELT BLESSING:  "When I despair, I remember that all through history, the ways of truth and love have always won.  There have been tyrants and murderers and, for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall.  Think of it...always."

NOTE:  Sometimes, we think we will never reach the solution to our problems.  I used to have a little hanging thingie on my wall which I'm sure you've heard:  When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.  I firmly believe this; I also believe that love and truth will remain forever; as Gandhi says:  "Love ALWAYS wins."  And who am I to disagree with Gandhi--and I don't!
