Our day is almost over, and we had a fun and exciting experience--first of all, the boys played at 8am today and WON that game; their next game, considered a semi-final game was really exciting, but they came out on the losing end with a score of 5-4; they did VERY WELL, though, and all the parents and grandparents in attendance were very proud of all of our young men.  They played their best and they were good sports.  So, the end of the tournament for us was today.

This afternoon, when we got back to the motel, the kids were still excited and went swimming.  Randi and I stayed in our room just to relax, and after a while, Jess brought Channie here for us to baby sit while she went to the pool area with the boys and the other parents.  Channie has had a couple of bad nights with regard to sleep, and I could tell she was really tired.  I sat her on my lap, put the cartoons on the tv, and just "sweet-talked" her into a nap.  She was on my lap for almost 2 hours, sleeping for 1 1/2 hours of that time.  By the way, this little 3-year-old can keep up with the best snorers in the family.

After her nap, Jess brought her down to the pool area; Randi went down ahead of me (while Channie was sleeping) to get in a little swimming.  Later, Jess came back for me later because the Moms were playing a game of baseball against their sons--what a hoot that was!  They all had a great time doing that.  The Dads did some bar-b-q'ing for everyone, and one of the kids was celebrating his birthday today, so his Mom brought a cake--yummy!

Everyone was having such a great time.  Jess got "accidentally" bumped into the pool; Jan "pretended" to be thrown in  by a couple of the little ones; the kids had some kind of water game going on; Channie and a couple of other little ones just played around the entire pool area.  I still can't say enough by the way the older kids treated the younger ones--they were absolutely terrific.

Since I don't eat bar-b-q, I decided to come in so I could prepare my own supper--soup and sandwich.  I might have a little snack later on so I don't get too hungry during the night.

Tomorrow, we leave TX for LA; I have enjoyed the time here, but I can' wait to get back home.  I wanted to put up some pictures, but either my computer or my memory card is having a problem, so I'll try on my desktop when I get home.  Hopefully, that will work and the problem will be solved.  If it works there, I guess I'll have to have this computer checked out for that.

That's it for tonight!  Hope you had a great day today and that your week brings you all things good.

NOTE:  Our boys had the desire to do their best, and I consider them truly successful in the endeavors.  CONGRATS to all of them!
