FATHER'S DAY!

Perhaps it's because I've been doing a little too much, but tonight, I am feeling my back a good bit.  Please pray that this is not the beginning (again) of something I don't even want to mention.  Believe me, I will be a little more tentative in my actions over the next few days.

Yesterday, Sid tied the tomato plants and did a good bit of watering.  Isn't it awful how those folks in the mid-section of our country are in such pain because of the excessive rain and yet we, here in the south, are in need of rain for our gardens!  I just heard on the news that the rain out there is supposed to be gone for at least the next three or four days, so that should help them a lot.  I pray that this forecast is accurate!

In addition to tending to the garden, Sid also moved a little computer desk into the house, where the older computer will be set up.  We haven't used it since we purchased this one, so we're hoping all goes well with the set up.  In order to put the table up, a couple of things had to be moved around, but it looks nice where it is.  I guess that after having lived in such a large house in Lockport, it's hard for us figure out how to arrange things here in our little Cottage, but we're managing.

Today, our little granddaughter, Brynn, had a minor surgical procedure to remove a little bump on her back.  We got word that she did very well and was very brave, so we are really proud of her, and, of course, we hope she's feeling 100% as soon as possible.

Also today, believe it or not, Sid and I went to BR to see a movie.  Yep!  We surely did!  We saw the new INDIANA JONES movie, and it was pretty much what I expected--the same old, same old--but Sid seemed to really enjoy it.  He usually refuses to go to the movies when Randi and I go, but I think he was ready for this one, and it gave us a chance to see a movie together.

Tomorrow is Father's Day, and I especially wish my hubby a very happy day.  As the father of our children, he's the best; as my husband, I couldn't have chosen anyone I would have wanted more--for myself AND for our children.  Also, this is the first Father's Day that my Dad isn't around for me to wish him a special day; however, this is the first Father's Day that he is living with his Heavenly Father, and I know that this has to be HIS best Father's Day ever.  So, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to Sid AND to my Dad.  I love both of them so very much--and have been blessed to have them in my life and the lives of our children/grandchildren.

And to our sons and sons-in-law who are fathers (whether of their own children or of children they love as though they were their own), I am so proud of you and could not have chosen anyone better to be the Dads of our grandchildren.  We love you, too.

"It is much easier to become a father than to be one."

NOTE:  I guess this is sort of from that saying that "anyone can be a father, but it takes a special man to be a Dad".  My HUSBAND and my DAD are obviously "fathers"--and to us, they are obviously DADS.  Again, I love them both--today, tomorrow, and into eternity.
