My Picture

You may have read some of my poems here, mostly rictameters. You may remember my mentioning my personal March Poem-a-Day challenge, when I posted one rictameter per day for the entire month.

In a another month or two, I'll be self-publishing these poems in a little book. Why? I just find it interesting that these little poems offer a picture of my life as it is today in relatively few words. My collection contains 39 poems and 56 pages, and the title will be "Elderly Expectations: My Life in Rictameters." No amazing achievement there, but I'm always trying to encourage others to write, whatever their choice of format.

Poetry books virtually never make money; in fact, all of my books have limited senior audiences. However, I'll let you know when the book is available. It's another of those personal challenges I'm always encouraging for everybody. And best of all, putting it together was fun.

You can read most of the poems on my blog, "Write your Life!":
