Luckily the Edens Expressway construction didn’t ruin anyone’s good time!   Apparently our worrying about how people will get here with all the horrible traffic was for naught!  Everyone arrived safe and sound at Bank Lane Bistro in Lake Forest.  Bank Lane is such a great place to be on a spring day.  It sure is nice to finally be able to say spring day!  We had our get acquainted reception and it was nice to have a chance to speak with everyone.  Bank Lane could only accommodate about 40 people so that is how many we had!  It was nice because you really had a chance to speak with everyone.  My favorite part though was the dinner.  Our group was in the glass garden room and it is beautiful. It is definitely the best seat in the house.  I had skatewing and the food was very good.  Some of the people at my table also had the filet mignon which looked delicious and I it had me second guessing my entrée choice!  We also included a complimentary glass of wine which is always nice.  All in all, it was a fun dinner and a great restaurant.  Afterwards, many of the people went to a member’s estate in Lake Forest.  I was not able to make it, but I heard that it was fabulous!   For more information please go to www.singlegourmetchicago.com.
