Doing well

My Picture

I got a clean mammogram and check up last week. I go back in six months. I decided not to take the herceptin IV's every three weeks and may live to regret it, but I'm comfortable with my decision. Herceptin is designed to target only breast cancer cells. I'm still not convinced I needed chemo, but it's done and over with; so is the radiation. Time to move on with my life.

My friend since we were 12 is meeting me at DFW and we're driving to Branson for a week in April. I'm so looking forward to it. She lives in Florida so we don't get to see each other very often but are planning to play "Thelma and Louise" next month.

Before that, I'm going to a nearby resort for a 3-day weekend to enjoy the 5-star condo and all the amenities. I also have a spa day coming to me, courtesy of my three wonderful children.

One thing the last year of chemo and radiation and doctors'  visits has taught me is to take care of myself, enjoy life and feel the love aroind me. If it's not there, I'll pretend it is.
