A nice, quiet Sunday!

Except for a couple of little "happenings" during the day, I guess you could say we had an interesting day.  The temperature was really cold early this morning, but it warmed up nicely, and the sun was absolutely shining all day.  Of course, there is still too much water for us to take a ride on the 4-wheeler, but that's OK.

Sid was able to plant a number of our pecan trees today, including putting up the stakes to mark them.  This was a tri-fold project:  cut/paint the wood, plant the trees, put up the stakes.  I'm not sure how many he has left to do, but he's not done yet.  Hopefully, the weather will hold for a few days and he'll be able to finish.  Before too long, it will be time to get the garden ready, so we can't have the trees still unplanted.

Randi and I went to the RAVE theater in Baton Rouge today to see what turned out to be a really cute little movie--PENELOPE.  Without giving too much in the line of details, suffice to say that it was a story about a young woman who was born with the face (actually, nose/ears) of a pig, and the rest of the story revolves around her dealing with this and solving the problem.  There's a good moral in there, too, if you look for it.  We both enjoyed it very much.  We also saw ads for a couple of movies that we're looking forward to seeing the late spring or early summer.

Traffic to and from Baton Rouge was not bad at all.  We even went to the big Wal Mart on Siegan Lane in BR, where Randi had to get a new bag for her make-up (her other one was ruined when something broke inside the bag); I also got a new wallet, but it just isn't right yet.  I'll have to keep looking, I suppose.  Oh, and Randi also got a new belt, so our trip was worthwhile.

After doing our shopping, we went to Wendy's for a late lunch--a burger for me and nuggets for Randi.  That didn't take long, and we were soon on our way home.

Supper tonight will consist of all the left-overs from NYM's last night.  I'm not sure exactly how much we have left, but I'm sure it'll be enough for all of us to get our fill.  My sweet hubby just came to the computer to ask if I wanted him to get started with the heating.  Nice, huh?

That's it for this time; have a wonderful evening and a happy, fun-filled, and productive week.

NOTE:  One of a kind--that's what you are!  No one is just like you, and we give a big THANK YOU  for that.  That doesn't mean that you--and I--are not good or special; on the contrary, it means just the opposite.  We complete each other; we need to accept our differences and know that they come from our Creator.  God doesn't make junk--and He made us.  So, be the best YOU that you can be--and others will recognize those qualities that make you you!
