The weather was absolutely fantastic today--pretty cold last night, but really comfy during the day. And once again, no rain! I received an e-mail from Joey today saying that he wished it would warm up where he is--Denver--and I'm sure it's a lot colder there than it is here. So, I'll just be grateful for the kind of weather we had today, and I hope it holds for Jack's birthday party on Saturday. Yes, our little Jack will reach his 3rd birthday on the 1st of March. He is exactly one month younger than Channie, so we have two precious toddlers in our family right now. We will be going to Thibodaux for Jack's birthday party, where he will have a REAL fire truck and a REAL fireman, so I'm sure all the little ones there will have a grand time. Of course, for us, it's a chance to see the little ones and to visit with the "older" ones with whom we are friends--both old and new ones. Sid and I went into Baton Rouge these evening to pick up some water at SAM's. Of course, while we were in the neighborhood, we went over to Piccadilly's for supper. Our waitress was just the sweetest young lady, just exuding happiness. She smiled and joked with us, and she never seemed impatient with us or with the others with whom she was dealing. I'm sure she has bad days, too, but tonight, she was really great. We ate first and then went to SAM's. We had checked with the girls to see if they needed anything this trip, and nothing was requested this time. So, all we got was the water and, of course, we always end up getting a few other unplanned-for items. We finished everything pretty quickly, though, so we arrived home in what I would consider almost record time. For the rest of the evening, I'll be relaxing; however, Sid will be working on his preparing the final copy of his tests for tomorrow. For those folks who think that teachers get off at 3:30 every afternoon and have all of those holidays off, let me assure--that is NOT the case. Even summer vacations are NOT vacations; either, we have to get a job to make ends meet and/or we have so much to catch up with that we don't have time for much else, including a real vacation. That's it for tonight! Hope you had a greatday and that tomorrow brings a fun-filled weekend into your lives. I ask for prayers tonight for my nephew, Ben, who is having all four impacted wisdom teeth removed tomorrow. I know this is a common thing these days, but if YOU'RE the one having the procedure, it isn't common at all. Please pray that he isn't too nervous and that things go well for him--and for his Mom, who will be taking him there. Good luck, Ben!
