This will be very short: THANKS TO ALL who send good wishes to Sid and me as we celebrate our anniversary today. We appreciate your kind thoughts so much. We did NOT go to DON's tonight because the weather is awful: raining and very cold. After taking a nebulizer treatment and having an x-ray taken today, the diagnosis is pretty bad bronchitis--came home loaded down with more antibiotics and TWO inhalers--so heading out in this weather just didn't make much sense. Since I HATE doing the "inhaler thing", I sure hope they work. With all the bad news I've been asking you to pray for, I have some GOOD news tonight: One of Bec's sister-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer a while back; she had a mastectomy and was just given the news that the type of cancer she has has an extremely low recurrence rate, so she will be needing no additional treatments. Prayers of thanksgiving for that, please. Also, one of Bec's friends, who is raising her little granddaughter as her own, was given the bad news that the child (5 years old) had a brain tumor and that surgery was required. GOOD NEWS: Although the child will need some additional precautionary treatment, the doctors are very optimistic. None of the problems that could have arisen due to this type of surgery have occurred. The little girl is talking and walking and laughing and playing and just being a typical little girl. Again, prayers of thanksgiving for that, please. Hopefully, tomorrow we'll get to DON's for our anniversary meal. More on that later-- HEARTFELT BLESSING: "Dear God, I say 'Yes!' to love today; help me to give and receive love. Help me to enjoy each moment. I say 'Yes!' to balance today. Help me to relax and smile. I say 'Yes!' to me today. Help me to listen to my heart. I say 'Yes!' to miracles today. I say 'Yes!' to life today." NOTE: YES is a magical word! Say 'yes' to our wants and let them in; say 'yes" to difficulties and open the door to healing. Our tomorrows are not formed out of our minutes but out of our thoughts. So, think good thoughts and form all of your "yes" moments.
